  • What are the opening hours?

    Monday to Thursday: 5pm – 11:30pm

    Friday and Saturday: 9:00am – Late

    Sunday: 9:00am – 11:30pm

  • What is the difference in seating and pricing?

    At purchase you can choose from four different ticket types: Armchair, Couches, Beds and Restricted View.

    Armchair: our single seating are big cosy real leather armchairs with personal side table and foot rests. These can be selected on both our ground and balcony level and are priced at €19 each.

    Couch: our couches are spacious and real leather, perfect for couples. These can be selected on both our ground and balcony level with table and foot rests and are priced at €38 for two guests.

    Bed: we have five comfy beds that line the front row of our theatre. Our beds allow you to watch our screenings in maximum comfort. Please note, the beds are in the front row and therefore close to the screen. Our beds are priced at €38 for two guests.

    Restricted View: on our balcony there are a small number of seats that have a slightly restricted view of the screen. For safety, there is a clear glass barrier on the balcony that can be partially seen when viewing the movie from the seats in the front row. Seats on the aisle would have a minimal obstruction due to the bowed ceiling. These tickets are sold at a reduced price of €12. Please note, these restricted view seats are not available for every screening.

    Family screenings take place every Saturday and Sunday morning. Please keep an eye out for listings each week under FILMS on the homepage.

     

    We offer €10 tickets for guests 14 years of age and under in all of our armchair seating.

  • Do you sell gift vouchers?

    Yes! Press Up gift cards allow you to choose your own experience from over 30 restaurants, bars, hotels, as well of course for The Stella Cinema. They are available to buy online here or from any Press Up venue.

  • I received a voucher, how do I book a ticket?

     

    Simply enter your gift card voucher number at the online checkout once you have selected your movie.

    You can also use your gift card at the till.

  • Is seating allocated?

    Yes. All our seats are allocated. You can choose where to sit when booking online. Available seats are highlighted in green while seats already allocated are in black and are sold out.

  • Do you take credit cards?

    Yes, we take credit and debit cards online, at the box office and in the Stella Cocktail Club.

  • Can I change or cancel my booking?

    The Stella Cinema is not responsible for a customer selecting the wrong ticket type, date or time, of if the ticket holder is under age for a specific performance.

    If a customer is found to be in possession of invalid tickets, they will be directed to our refreshments bar in our foyer where a member of the management team will amend their booking, if possible. Please note, it is not possible to change tickets for a screening that has already taken place as these tickets are classified as expired.

    Only when a ticket is for a future dated performance can adjustments be made based on availability as long as it is 2 hours prior to the screening start time.

    The same seat cannot be guaranteed. Booking fee will not be refunded. Please note that refunded transactions will take 3-5 working days to return to a customer’s account.

  • Can I bring in outside food and drink?

    We kindly ask that you refrain from bringing outside food and drink into the cinema. We have an extensive food and drinks menu for you to choose from.

  • Food and drink – what’s on offer?

    At The Stella Cinema we serve chilled cocktails, soft drinks, delicious hot food and confectionary. You can have a look at our menu here. Food and drink can be enjoyed in the theatre while you’re watching your film, or upstairs in the luxurious surrounds of the Stella Cocktail Club. To enjoy food and drinks during the screening, simply place your order at the refreshments bar and it will be dropped directly to your seat. If you’d like to experience Stella Cocktail Club, you can book a table for food and drinks here, or simply drop in. Popcorn, sweets and drinks can be picked up at the lobby bar on your way into the theatre. If you’re lucky enough to look under 21 then we would advise you to bring valid identification with you if you wish to purchase alcohol.

  • Can I just go for cocktails?

    Yes, you can. The Stella Cocktail Club serves bespoke cocktails and a delectable food menu seven days a week from 5pm daily. You can drop in, or book ahead to secure a table. For menus and opening hours please see www.stellacocktailclub.ie

  • Where are you located?

    You can find us on Rathmines road lower. You can find us here using Google Maps

  • Is there Parking?

    There’s no parking but the The Swan Centre on Rathmines Road has an indoor carpark less than 2 minutes walk to Stella Cinema. There is also selected on street parking in the area.

  • How do I get to Rathmines?

    You can walk or cycle from the city centre. A number of Dublin buses also pass through Rathmines and stop very close to the Stella Cinema. www.dublinbus.ie will have a full listing.

    The nearest Luas stops are Ranelagh and Beechwood. Both are about a 20-minute walk to the cinema.

  • Is there an ATM nearby?

    There are many ATM’s close by AIB, Ulster Bank and Bank of Ireland all have on street ATM’s right beside the cinema.

  • Do you have a Membership scheme?

    At the moment we don’t have a definitive scheme set up but if you sign up to our newsletter on www.stellacinemas.ie we will be letting our subscribers know when we have a scheme set up.

  • I want to have a party, is The Stella Cinema available for private hire?

    Yes! To enquire about hiring the Stella Cinema please email privatehire@stellacinemas.ie and to enquire about hiring the Stella Cocktail Club please email scc@stellacinemas.ie.

  • Help me find my lost property please?

  • Is your cinema accessible?

    Yes! Our cinema is fully accessible on the ground floor with sloped floors and bathroom facilities. If you need any assistance while you are visiting us please ask a member of our team or call us in advance on 01 4967014.

  • Where can I see a full list of your screenings?

    Our full list of screenings can be under the Films tab on the homepage.

  • How do I collect my tickets?

    We have kiosks in our foyer where you can collect your tickets or at the counter while you are ordering your food and drinks.

  • Is smoking or the use of e-cigarettes permitted?

    Smoking or e-cigarettes are not permitted in any part of the building but there is an outdoor terrace on the first floor by the Stella Cocktail Club.
