Staying Safe Together
We are committed to the Health & Safety of our staff and guests and we are operating under the agreed protocols described under the “Guidance documents for the Safe Operations of Cinemas during COVID-19 Resilience and Recovery 2020-2021” which can be read here.
For more information about your safety at Stella Cinemas please read the below FAQs and advice.
What are the opening hours?
Opening hours change daily. Please see our listings page for screening times.
We kindly ask that you show up to your movie with plenty of time to spare as this will help our staff safely guide you through the cinema into your seat.
Do I need to wear a face mask during the movie?
As per the Government and HSE guidelines and regulations announced on Tuesday 4th August, it is now mandatory for all guests to wear protective face masks while visiting Stella Cinemas. This means you must wear a face mask when entering or exiting the cinema, queuing for refreshments in the lobby, going to the restroom and any other time that has you out of your seat. You DO NOT have to wear a face mask while seated in your assigned seat during the movie.
We appreciate your full compliance to the new regulations and thank you for helping to keep Stella a safe place for both guests and staff to enjoy movies. For more information on the government’s regulations visit www.hse.ie.
Is the cinema open and what safety procedures have been put in place?
Yes we are open! We are operating at 100% capacity and all guests must be able to show proof of vaccination upon request. The cinema will undergo regular cleaning throughout the day including a deep clean of the auditorium after each showing. We strongly advise that guests pre-book their tickets and movie meals online which will help reduce queues. Your food will be directly delivered down to your seat at the start of the movie.
Rest assured that our top priority is to ensure the safety and comfort of both staff and guests. You can read more about our safety procedures here.
What is the difference in seating and pricing?
When selecting your seats, you can choose from four different ticket types: Armchair, Couch, Bed and Restricted View. We also offer Child and Senior concession tickets.
Armchair: Our single seats are big cosy leather armchairs with side table and foot rest. These can be selected on both the ground and balcony level and are priced at €19 each.
Couch: Our couches are spacious and perfect for couples. These can be selected on both our ground and balcony level with table and foot rests and are priced at €38 for two guests. There are a limited number of couch seats in our auditorium so they may not be available for your chosen screening due to high demand.
Bed: We have five comfy beds that line the front row of our auditorium. Our beds allow you to watch our screenings in maximum comfort. Our beds are priced at €38 for two guests. Please note, the beds are in the front row and therefore close to the screen.
Restricted View: On the balcony there are a small number of seats that have a very slight restricted view of the screen. For safety, there is a clear glass barrier on the balcony that can be partially seen when viewing the movie from the seats in the front row. Seats on the aisle would have a minimal obstruction due to the bowed ceiling. These tickets are sold at a reduced price of €12. Please note, these restricted view seats are not available for every screening.
Child Ticket: We offer €10 tickets for guests 14 years of age and under in all of our armchair seating for applicable films.
Senior Ticket:We offer €15 tickets for guests 65 years of age and over for all of our standard screenings.

Can I change or cancel my booking?

If a customer is found to be in possession of invalid tickets, they will be directed to our refreshments bar in our foyer where a member of the management team will amend their booking, if possible. Please note, it is not possible to change tickets for a screening that has already taken place as these tickets are classified as expired.
Only when a ticket is for a future dated performance can adjustments be made based on availability as long as it is 2 hours prior to the screening start time.
The same seat cannot be guaranteed. Booking fee will not be refunded. Please note that refunded transactions will take 3-5 working days to return to a customer’s account.
