  • Is the cinema open and what safety procedures have been put in place?

    Yes we are open! The cinema will undergo regular cleaning throughout the day including a deep clean of the auditorium after each showing. We strongly advise that guests pre-book their tickets and movie meals online which will help reduce queues. Your food will be directly delivered down to your seat at the start of the movie.

  • Where is Stella Ranelagh?

    Stella Ranelagh is located on the lower ground floor of The Devlin Dublin hotel at 117 – 119 Ranelagh Dublin 6.

    Stella Ranelagh is accessible by elevator and stairs from inside the lobby of the hotel.

  • Is the cinema open to the public even if I’m not staying in the hotel?

    Yes! The Stella Ranelagh is open to the public and not just guests of the hotel.

  • Do you sell gift cards?

    Yes! Press Up Gift Cards allow you to choose your own experience from over 65 restaurants, bars, hotels, as well of course for The Stella Cinema. They are available to buy online here or in-venue.

  • I received a gift card, how do I book a ticket?

    Your Press Up Gift Card can be used to purchase tickets on our website. All you need is your gift card number/code. If using a physical gift card this number can be found beneath the QR code on the back of the card. If using an e-gift card this will be listed as either gift card code or gift card number.
    Once you have confirmed your seat selection you will then be able to add your gift card number for payment.
    Please note only one gift card can be used per transaction on our website. If you would like to use multiple gift cards to book tickets please email ranelagh@stellacinemas.ie.

  • What are the opening hours?

    Opening hours change daily. Please see our listings page for screening times.

    We kindly ask that you show up to your movie with plenty of time to spare as this will help our staff safely guide you through the cinema into your seat.

  • How much are tickets?

    Our Standard Tickets for our armchairs and for single occupancy are priced at €21 each.

    Couch Tickets are for 2 people and are €42 in total.

    Senior Ticket: We offer €15 tickets for guests 65 years of age and over for all of our standard screenings.

    Child ticket: We offer €12 tickets for guests 14 years of age and under in all of our armchair seating for applicable films.

  • Is seating allocated?

    Yes. All our seats are allocated. You can choose where to sit when booking online. Available seats are highlighted in green while seats already allocated are in black and are sold out.

  • Do you take credit cards?

    Yes, we take credit and debit cards online, at the box office and in the cinema for all food and drink items. Please note: we do not accept American Express.

  • Can I change or cancel my booking?

    Stella Cinema is not responsible for a customer selecting the wrong ticket type, date or time, or if the ticket holder is under age for a specific performance. If a customer is found to be in possession of invalid tickets, they will be directed to our refreshments bar in our foyer where a member of the management team will amend their booking, if possible. Please note that it is not possible to change tickets for a screening that has already taken place as these tickets are classified as expired. Only when a ticket is for a future dated performance can adjustments be made based on availability. The same seat selection cannot be guaranteed. Booking fees will not be refunded. Please note that refunded transactions will take 3 to 5 working days to return to a customer’s account.

  • Food and drink, what’s on offer?

    At The Stella Ranelagh, we serve chilled cocktails, soft drinks, delicious hot food and confectionery. Food and drink can be enjoyed in the theatre while you’re watching your film, or upstairs in the luxurious surrounds of the Americana Bar or Layla’s rooftop restaurant. To enjoy food during the screening, simply place your food order at the refreshments bar when you arrive at the cinema and it will be dropped directly to your seat. If you’re lucky enough to look under 21 then we would advise you to bring valid identification with you if you wish to purchase alcohol.

  • Is there parking?

    There is limited street parking on Ranelagh Main Street and the surrounding roads but there is no cinema or hotel parking provided.

  • How do I get to Ranelagh?

    You can walk or cycle easily enough from the city centre. A number of Dublin buses also pass through Ranelagh and stop very close to the Stella Devlin. www.dublinbus.ie will have a full listing. The nearest Luas stop is Ranelagh and is about a 5-minute walk to the cinema.

  • Is there an ATM nearby?

    There are many ATM’s close by AIB, Ulster Bank and Bank of Ireland all have on street ATM’s right beside the theatre.

  • Do you have a Membership scheme?

    At the moment we don’t have a definitive scheme set up but if you sign up to our newsletter on www.stellatheatre.ie we will be letting our subscribers know when we have a scheme set up.

  • I want to have a party, is The Stella Ranelagh available for private hire?

  • Help me find my lost property please?

    For lost property queries please email info@stellacinemas.ie. Please remember to specify that you lost property in the Stella Devlin when emailing.

  • Is your cinema accessible?

    Yes! Our cinema is fully accessible. There is a lift from the lobby of The Devlin that will take you down to the theatre, which has both sloped floors and bathroom facilities. If you need any assistance while you are visiting us, please ask a member of our team or call us in advance. Also, with the purchase of a ticket for someone who has a disability, a companion ticket is offered free of charge. To book, please call The Stella Devlin directly.

  • How do I collect my tickets?

    If you have booked online you will be sent a booking confirmation through email which acts as your E-ticket. You can print this out at home or have it available on your mobile device to gain entry to the cinema. If you have booked via email you will need to provide your booking reference number at the foyer bar when you arrive and one of our team will print your tickets for you.

  • Is smoking or the use of e-cigarettes permitted?

    Smoking or e-cigarettes are not permitted in any part of the building.
