The cinema is over 100 years old and has been sympathetically restored to reflect the glitz and glamour of the 1920’s but with a modern, luxurious twist. Take a Look Inside Stella Rathmines
First opening in 1923 Stella was designed by architectural firm Higginbotham & Stafford and showcased numerous art deco flourishes. In 2015, an 18-month restoration began which saw many of the beautiful original features, such as the façade with granite pilasters, detailed mosaic tiling and original decorative ceiling mouldings kindly restored. These features and the many decorative details that make Stella one of the most beautiful cinemas in the world can be viewed in our gallery.
